DraftKings Partners With Nashville Predators
Last week, the Nashville Predators and DraftKings Sportsbook Tennessee announced a multi-year partnership.
DraftKings is now the official sports betting partner and the official Daily Fantasy Sports partner of the NHL franchise.
In an official statement, the Nashville Predators announced that they were seeking to partner with a sports betting operator, and the franchise viewed DraftKings as the best choice. The statement went on to describe DraftKings as the “gold standard” in the sports betting industry.
Both sides are set to benefit from this deal, and fans of the team should see plenty of perks as well. Similar deals have been reached throughout the professional sports world, especially in 2020.
DraftKings will receive branding rights, and the content will be displayed both in and around Bridgestone Arena, home of the Nashville Predators. The Lexus Lounge LED screen will also feature DraftKings promotional materials during all Predators home games.
Another part of this deal that could be beneficial to fans is that DraftKings betting lines will be discussed on the radio and during the pre-game show on television broadcasts. This should help grow the hockey betting industry in Tennessee, especially with fans of the Predators.
The two groups will work together to create digital and social media content that includes takeovers on the Nashville Predators team page. Fans will also be able to enter contests to win opportunities to meet and interact with members of the Nashville Predators.
DraftKings TN off to Strong Start
DraftKings TN was one of four operators set to launch on Nov. 1, and it was expected to become a leader in the market. The other three operators that launched on that date were FanDuel Sportsbook, BetMGM, and Tennessee Action 24/7, a locally owned sportsbook.
DraftKings is one of the biggest names in the sports betting industry, and the operator is currently live in 12 different states. That number will jump up to 14 when Michigan and Virginia both launch online sports betting.
The first full week of sports betting in Tennessee brought in $27.4 million in wagers, with $5.1 million made on the first day. The Tennessee Education Lottery did not break these figures down by operator, but DraftKings publicly stated that it was off to a great start.
To attract new customers to the site, DraftKings is offering a nice welcome bonus. New users that sign up at DraftKings Tennessee can receive a 20 percent first deposit match of up to $1,000.
There is a 25x playthrough requirement with this bonus money, but it is still one of the top bonuses in the industry. DraftKings was also accepting pre-registration for customers in Tennessee, and a $50 free bet was issued to those residents that took advantage of the offer.
This partnership with the Predators will help grow the brand in the state, but FanDuel Sportsbook will provide competition. FanDuel has partnered with the Memphis Grizzlies, renewing a partnership that died out just a few years ago.
