Caesars Sportsbook Now Live in Tennessee
The William Hill Sportsbook in Tennessee has now been rebranded to the name Caesars Sports, as was promised a few months ago.
This change went into effect on Monday, August 2, but it won’t necessarily change the sports betting experience.
Caesars acquired William Hill back in May, and the company announced that it would be making some changes in the coming months. Eight states were included in this latest round of rebranding, and Tennessee was a state that was on that list.
Caesars is a big name in the United States gaming industry, and this betting app should be one of the best on the market. Liberty is the tech company that is powering this new mobile app, and it can be accessed by simply using the old William Hill app.
One of the biggest advantages to using the new Caesars Sportsbook app is the rewards program that will accompany it into Tennessee. Caesars is known for having one of the best rewards programs in the industry, and that includes some exciting bonuses and promotions.
William Hill was not performing well in the state of Tennessee as it failed to keep up with the likes of BetMGM, DraftKings, and FanDuel. Tennessee has become a strong and growing sports betting market, and Caesars will have some work to do to get caught up.
Customers in Tennessee that already have the William Hill app installed will simply need to update the app to see the new changes. For those looking to get started with Caesars Sportsbook, the app can be found on the Google Play Store or the app store.
The money that was previously in your William Hill account will just simply get transferred over to the new Caesars Sportsbook. Customers will notice a brand new look and feel of the app, and there will be more betting options available.
Since Tennessee does have an online-only sports betting market, customers are able to complete the signup process without going to a retail location. This could help Caesars get off to a big start after this rebrand.
Caesars Spending Some Money
Another reason that Caesars could soon become a major player in the Tennessee market is due to the money and capital that the company is willing to put behind this rebrand. Caesars CEO Tom Reeg spoke about this effort on a second-quarter earnings call, and the company has plenty of money to throw at this new venture.
Over the next 2.5 years, Caesars intends to spend close to $1 billion on sports betting. Most of this money will be spent to create a unique digital experience, but marketing and other advertising costs are also included.
There are currently 60 million customers signed up for the Caesars Rewards program, but the company is going to take an aggressive approach when it comes to adding new customer accounts. Not all of these efforts will take place in the state of Tennessee, but sports bettors in the Volunteer State will begin seeing a strong push from the newest sports betting option.
